Creating a new leisure and sports destination to transform the city landscape.
Tasked with revamping an area of the Municipality of Osasco currently occupied by a football field and a degraded community centre, we were contracted to prepare an urban regeneration study for the site.
We proposed anchoring the revamp with a multipurpose arena for 7,000 spectators and a football stadium for 20,000 spectators, expandable to 30,000, integrated by a public square and surrounded by existing green areas, aiming to be the first LEED-certified sports project in the country.
The proposal highlights community integration and ecological sustainability, incorporating rainwater reuse, permeable roofs and floors, use of demolition materials and photovoltaic panels.
