Helping to reinvent a giant towards a multipurpose future.
We were hired by AG Construction and SPFC to develop a modernization project for Morumbi Stadium, incorporating an indoor arena for 25,000 spectators, a fully new roof and parking structures for this iconic venue. The challenge included integrating the existing concrete structure with a new cantilevered roof and developing a specific acoustic solution for the amphitheatre mode. A specially designed curtain was proposed to isolate sound from the surrounding residential neighbourhood when closed, operating independently from the stadium itself.
